The story begins with a scary opening which leads a two year old boy to seek shelter in a graveyard. Mr. and Mrs. Owens, The cemetery's inhabitants (yeah, they are ghosts), decide to raise the young child and name him Nobody. Bod for short. This Newbery Award winning book is dark, but enjoyable as Bod makes the best out of his life in the graveyard. But will he stay forever?
