If you have already seen the movie, you can still read this book. To me, it is as if they are two completely different stories! Challenge yourself to find the differences between the two version.
In either format, you will enjoy Despereaux, a tiny mouse (tinier than ever normal mice!) with enormous ears who wants to be a gentleman rather than a mouse, Roscuro, a rat who longs for light from his dungeon, the Princess Pea, a sad princess living a sad life, and other colorful characters.
I love how the author has several stories going on all at the same time in different parts of the castle. Will their stories come together? Will Despereaux always stay mouselike? Read to find out!
